Launched a decade ago in Portland, Oregon, @SolTerraLiving has now completed more than a thousand projects, commonly using plants and solar technologies to build structures that connect people and nature. When SolTerra built a new headquarters building last year at SE 9th Ave and Division St they turned to Irish street art icon Fin DAC to partner with them in creating an appropriate visual message. With more than 1,000 live plants serving as hair Fin DAC’s 70’ tall southwest-facing work not only reflects the ethos of the company but the highly visible installation will help moderate the heating and cooling needs of the building.
